3 Simple Ways To Increase Energy & Focus

Are you sick of feeling tired?

Rely on sugar, coffee or energy drinks to get through the day?

Fatigue is a suggestion from our body to slow down. We are constantly feeling like “not enough” and trying to take on more… But REST is necessary for energy and vitality.
 
Many things deplete or restore our physical and mental energy. This will be slightly different for each person.
Three things I recently implemented that I found helpful to increase my energy & focus:
 
1). Take lunch breaks.
When you commit to this (anything counts –  it doesn’t have to be an hour), you’ll find that you are more productive.
2). Allow time to sleep.
Prioritizing sleep (instead of overscheduling) allows the systems in your body to perform optimally and increases focus.
3). Eliminate sugar, gluten, and dairy.
Instead of focusing on what you CAN’T have, add plenty of whole foods, protein and healthy fat each meal for sustained energy. As you start feeling better, you won’t be tempted by quick fixes that are followed by a crash!
